Overview
This is a full-time on-site Geographic Information System Intern role located in Paramaribo. The intern will be responsible for assisting with GIS-oriented projects, analyzing spatial data, managing information, and ensuring cybersecurity measures are in place.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager and Team Lead to join our GIS company serving utility companies and public sector clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of GIS technology and be able to effectively manage project timelines, resources, and coordinate & coach technical teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead a technical project team in their day-to-day work
- Team up with the pre-sales team and work with clients to define project scope and objectives
- Ensure project delivery is on time and within the projected budget
- Ensure the results meet the client’s expectations.
- Challenge the technical solutions as suggested by the project development team to find the best fit for the client
- Identify project risks and suggest ways to mitigate them.
- Create detailed project plans and track progress.
- Monitor team performance and provide technical feedback and/or coaching.
- Ensure project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Report to the general management team.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in project and/or team management, preferably within GIS technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Knowledge of (Arc)GIS systems, software, and mapping applications is highly recommended.
- Eager to learn and master the technical context of our client’s solutions
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
